The brown uni looked around randomly, as his friend slept beside him. it was night, and he could barely see anything, especially if it was dark colored. His eyes could detect magic tho, but that would make his eyes glow, and that wouldnt be good if what was looking for them saw it. Rinaldo looked over at the white stallion sleeping next to him. To bad he was afraid to wake the cowboy to tell him it was his turn to keep watch.......... A pitch black and silver uni galloped at full speed to who knows where. SHe just wanted to get away. She deeply disliked everyone, Kieyleigh, Guysie, Topango, for making her talk. She just wasn't ready. They had been doing their nightly interogation when she just up and ran. She hoped she would find something new, different..... Rinaldo's eyes became weary, but he was jolted up by the rough voice beside him. "Hear that?" the white stallion sat up a little, his transluctant eyes gazing off into the mist. Rinaldo looked at him for a minute, then saw the dark shape heading for them, at full gallop......... Avagayil jumped in alarm when she suddenly saw two large orbs shining through the darkness. She skidded on the ground, trying to stop herself before she was on top of them Rinaldo jumped up, fast on his feet, and sidestepped the stumbling horse. Snowfire looked at her in amusement as she came to a stop inches away from him. He smiled. "Howdy there, pardner. take a scare jus' then, did yah?" "Y-Yes, wh-who are you," she said in a high, clear voice, stuttering because of the close call. She stared at the male uni standing inches from her face. She liked his accent. Rinaldo raised his head, and walked back over, his red scarf sliding down from its past place on his back. "I'm Rinaldo." He said, holding his head proudly. Snowfire snorted. "i'm called Snowfire 'round here, ma'am, but by me' close friends, they call me Fire. you?" Slowly walking a circle around them, she replied, "I'm Avagayil, but you can call me Abby..... nice to meet you two." Stopping her pacing a moment she asked a question that had been on her mind since she saw them. "What are you doing here so late at night?" Rinaldo tensed up, but SNwofire, always the laid back one, spit out whatever the heck he had in his mouth sideways. He looked at her, his neck arched forwards lazily and his mane messy, his eyes calm but serious; "we're runnin'." Sidestepping the gunk the cowboy spit out, she replied, puzzled, "Running?" She was also a bit suprised, she was, too. But she wasn't about to tell them that. Her mishaps and mistakes had toaught her caution. "Yep. now, ma'am, what's a lass like you doin' out here in the mist by yerself?" He said, flicking his tail. Rinaldo was still unsteady, his eyes flicking back and forth between the white and the black/silver horses nervously. She paused, wondering if she should lie or tell the truth. She so much wanted to tell them the truth, she was sure she could trust them, but..... She opened her mouth and her words began spilling out, in a rush "I'mrunningawayfromthesepeoplewhofoundmebutihatethemanddecidedtorunaway," she said that all in one big breath. It felt great to tell someone the truth. Snowfire blinked, and Rinaldo burst into laughter, earning himself a glare from the coyboy that he didnt see anyway. Snowfire shook his mane, then flicked his ears forwards, his eyes closed matter-of-factly. "ignore my pardner he is still very nieve(sp??)." He opened his eyes halfway. "Run away did you?" He said, flicking his tail again, "well, i s'pose if you dont mind being in extream danger for a little bit, you could stay with me and me' pardner here." "I don't mind, if you don't," she said smoothly. She had been hoping one of them would say that, she didn't like being by herself, weird as it would seem. Rinaldo snorted. "be careful, girl," he snapped to her, his eyes glaring at Snowfire, "he's not as gentlemanly as he seems." Snowfire retorted to him softly, his eyes distant. "She has no reason to fear me." He said, much to the brown horse's astonishment. Rinaldo overcame that quickly, and looked over at the mare again. "Ahhh.....did u tell us your name?" "Yes, Avagayil, but call me Abby, please." Weird things were floating through her mind. What does the brown male, Rinaldo, mean by he's not as gentlemanly as he seems, or the look of astonishment. For some reason, she had no idea why, she felt.... happy. It felt so weird, she almost giggled. "Fool, she already told us her name." Rinaldo muttered to himself as he recognized her name. Snowfire's ears suddenly pricked, and Rinaldo tensed again. a sudden hair-raising silence crept in, and the mist was impossible to see through. Snowfire and rinaldo looked out sideways, ((well, forwards for RInaldo)) at a dark shape in the mist. "Dont make a sound," Snowfire murmured under his breath after a few hair-raising seconds, the dark shape faded intot he mist. a firm -disallowed_word-(sp??)) He took a sharp turn as the chocolate stallion settled down by Abby's side, following Fire's flashing hooves. snowfire lept forwards, and seemed to dissapear for a moment till Rinaldo discovered a cave entrance in the brush. He smiled back at Abby, then waled through it. the cavern ground was dirt, so their hooves made no sound at all. Snwofire was standing in the center of the cave, the mist on his hooves long since died down. Walking into the dirt cave, she looked around at her surroundings and asked, "Is it safe?" Rinaldo smiled. "IT must be, else the coward over there wouldn't lead us into it." He said sarcastically. he looked back at her. "Of course its safe." "okay," she said happily. She began settling down on the cold dirt floor. "So, may I ask, who are we running from?" Then softly she added, "or what." "What is indeed the answer." Rinaldo said, plopping down into the dirt. "Swords," he cried, leaping up, "it's WET!" he began prancing around frettfully. Snowfire rolled his eyes. "He's afraid of water," he explained. "Well, you see, me and RInaldo got into a bit of trouble once...long ago, actually. the result of that blunder has just recently found us again, and we seek to rid ourselves of it again." but, we dont know how we did it last time, so we've gone to running till we remember or till we end up fighting it." "okie...." She still didn't really understand, but at least she got a little explaination. Rinaldo sighed. "the 'beast' is a weird bird/wolf thingy. not sure what to call it, but a monster." he said, closing his eyes, then opening them and glaring at SNowfire. "and really, SNOWFIRE got in trouble. not me. i'm a good boy----i dont flirt with powerful sorcerer's daughters......." Snowfire sat completely unfazed at the comment.
