Intro | Power Ups | Tips  | Strategy |

So, you're here because you are clueless at Mynci Beach Volleyball, I assume. Well I'm not a master at the game, but I can help the average user with a few tips that may give you just enough understanding of the game to NOT quit and rip your hair out.

First off, this game can get very boring  if you aren't in love with it. I like the game quite a bit and even I get drowsy around the 4th match. The thing is- if you stick it out ONCE, you will *never* have to play it again. You will never have to say to yourself, "I really want that but it takes so long," after you get it. Use that as your motivation. Now onto the basics.

You are the Mynci on the left. Do the Hand "L"s. Found your left hand? Good. That's you. Blue. Awesome. Now basic controls- Left arrow moves you left, and right arrow moves you right. OMGOSH. The Up arrow makes your Mynci jump. More on jumping in a bit.

So are you ready for the super cheat code?  Okay... it isn't SUPER, but typing, "turdle," gives you a free Watch The Turdle power up. Just once, though.

First let's get acquainted with the objects in the game. There are 2 types of objects. Variable and set objects. Let's start with the Variable objects, shall we?

The variable objects are the parts of the game that move. This includes you, your opponent, the Pawkeet, and the ball. There are also objects that don't move in the game, but still effect and restrict the movement of the variable objects.

The set objects don't move, but effect your movement as well as the ball's. If you run into a wall or the net, your momentum bounces you the other direction a step. This is part of your opponent's demise. :D  If the ball hits the back walls or the sides/ top of the net, the ball will bounce in the opposite direction. When it hits the ground, a point is earned.

Enough of this, let's get into the real tips. (Keep in mind that these are how I view the game. Everyone has different strategies, but I feel these are the best)

Power Ups
There are7 Power ups in the game. They can only be earned by hitting the Pawkeet with the ball. They can help you out, so try to use them to your advantage.

Super Size- The *BEST* power up. It makes you HUGE, which means it's harder for the ball to slip by your massive body and lose you a point.

Watch The Turdle- A Turdle petpet wanders onto the beach. If you go to step over him, you pick him up and are frozen where you stand for around 3 seconds.

Small Net- Shrinks the net, making it easier to get over the net.

Big Net- Enlarges the net, making it harder to get the ball over.

Giant Ball- ....makes the ball..giant....

Super Jump- Increases your jumping height by about three times.

Super Speed- Increases your player's speed.

Power Up Tips
Putting your Power Ups to your benefit is the key to making this game easier for you. The way I see it, there's only 2 power ups worth it. Super size and Watch The Turdle.

If you get Super size, try your hardest to avoid hitting the Pawkeet again. Keep that as long as you can.

If you get Super jump or Super speed, it would be in your best interest to get rid of it A.S.A.P. If it's your serve, wait until the Pawkeet shows up on your side and serve the ball directly under him.

Giant ball, Small net, and Big net don't really bother me any. Obviously small net is easier to return a bump over, and the opposite goes for Big net. What I like about the Big net is that it is just as hard for your opponent to return as it is for you, and give yourself some credit- you're better than him! So I like this because he may mess up and score a point on himself.

If your opponent sends a Turdle your way, this is tricky. Hopefully it will be out of your way until you can score. If that's the case, then pick up the Turdle before serving the next round! If it's not looking like that will happen, and the Turdle is in the middle of your side, this is where you have to be smart. Playing a few rounds should make you able to predict your opponent's movess; when he will return the serve, and when he will bump to himself over and over. If you think you can pick up the Turdle and recover from it while your opponent is juggling, before he hits it over...then by all means do it.

Basic strategy
My strategy is.... -drumroll- don't drop the ball. KTHX.

No, really...there is some strategy. Playing the Power ups is only half the battle- you HAVEN'T SCORED YET! There is a "sweet spot" that you should always aim for. It is your opponent's neck level, against the back wall. Remember when I said that your momentum, when running into the wall, will bounce you in the other direction? That is your opponent's demise. He will run to the back wall, bounce off of it, and if you hit it at the right spot, the ball will be at the perfect height to sneak past his body and score you a point. I know, I'm awesome. Reward me with codestones and bottled faeries. Thanks.

^Sweet spot. The light green line is the border of my window.

But wait- there's more yet! I haven't discussed jumping. Jumping is VERY important in volleyball. You can't  spike a ball flat-footed, can you? No. Jumping is crucial in a good game. Guess what- you can't spike in Mynci Beach Volleyball. The avatar lies. In other words- you don't have a reason to jump aside from when you are serving, so DON'T DO IT. Unless you practice jumping over and over to figure out when you will need to jump to hit the ball in the right spot you intend to hit it with, then it will just make things harder for you. There are occasions where you will need to jump, so don't let me confine you- but don't jump for the sake of jumping. You will either jump too soon causing the ball to hit your chest and hit the ground before you do, or jump too late, bump the ball up and back while you lunge forward, and score a point behind your own back.

Lastly is serving techniques. Back to the momentum build up that causes a bounce back- this is the best feature in the game. Work on your recovery timing so you can run backwards, bounce and start running forward at the right time. If you get it right, you will give yourself a boost. Run back and forth from the back wall to the net until you feel you have the timing down, go for one last one against the back wall, and serve as close to the net as you can while still getting the ball over the net. You can actually SCORE A POINT on your serve. Do this every time, you may get lucky a few times in a row!

That's all I can tell you. Best of luck, now stop reading and go play the game, will ya? You need 850 points, so you won't be able to get the avatar without finishing the entire game. If you can, then you didn't need my page, did you? :o

I hope this page helps you. If it has, feel free to neomail me and tell me so.
