Library Rules!

These rules were last changed January 2008.


  1. All members in "Good Standing" with a guild-ranking of apprentice or above may request books from the Library each month. Good Standing means you have not received any warnings from the monitors in the past week.

  2. What you can request is limited by your guild rank.

    1. Apprentices may request item(s) totaling 15,000 nps each month
    2. Librarians may request item(s) totaling 25,000 nps each month
    3. Professors may request item(s) totaling 50,000 nps each month
      4. Your request limit may be used to request a single item or several items and need not be used all at the same time. However, the unused portion WILL NOT carry over to the next month and Shopkeeper's reserve the right to refuse any request they deem unsuitable.

  3. All members may also request one Booster Pack per month.

  4. To request a book, neomail the library with the name of your pet who will be reading the book, and the title of the book you are requesting. Even if you only have one pet, please include the name so that we can look up your pet directly. All pets must belong to accounts that are members of the guild. (If you believe you should be entitled to an exception, please neomail the library stating your case.) Please try to make requests based on the following:

    1. Try to first request books that are on display in the Library Gallery since these are the books we have in abundance. Requests of these books will help us make the best use of our available stock.
    2. The remainder of the books we have in stock are listed here.
    3. If your pet is a voracious reader, you may want to check out the Expensive Book Exchange.

  5. The new Neopets 48 hours to Accept/Reject an item can cause problems filling your request. Returned request items will be placed in trade for you. The Shopkeeper will make three attempts to contact you (one per week). If you don't respond, the item will be returned to the SDB and your request canceled.

  6. We DO NOT fill requests that are for timed quests.

  7. Use of the Guild Shops is a privilege of membership. Anyone found to be abusing that privilege by selling items requested or requesting excessively without donating may have their privileges revoked.

  8. Remember, our guild values respect. Our Shopkeepers try to be as courteous and respectful as possible. Please reciprocate. Words like "please" and "thank you" only take a moment to type and are greatly appreciated!
