Woah! Hey there guest, welcome to The Pound Directory! Since you're here, I bet I can guess what you're after. Either you want to adopt a pet, or you have an agency you want to advertise, right? Yeah, I knew I was right! Well, if you're here to find an adoption agency, here's a quick key to the guide!
- Pets refers to the rarity/type of pets the adoption agency has.
- Names refers to the quality of names the adoption agency has.
- Any = the agency does not choose pets based on name.
- Poor = names containing numbers, random jumbles of letters, etc. Example: poo28589111xyz
- Moderate = names that are not random, but not very impressive, either. Example: maryjane_puppy
- Good = names that are pleasant and somewhat name-sounding. Ex. SuperSpoon or Mhrwyn.
- Trade indicates whether or not the adoption agency will also trade its pets (but none of the agencies I list will ONLY trade; all have at least some pets up for adoption).
- This color background indicates a normal Adoption Agency.
- This color background indicates an Adoption Agency that is hosted somewhere other than Neopets (I have visited all of these links personally, but feel free to avoid these if you feel uncomfortable with them!).
- This color background indicates that I really like this adoption agency personally, and feel it's top-notch!

- I will not list ANY 'adoption agencies' that ask for items or neopoints for their pets. I also will not list adoption agencies that only trade pets, but I will list agencies that have some pets up for trade, or have the option of trading.
- Please only contact me once your adoption agency is actually up and running! That is, if you're still constructing the page, or even if you haven't put any pets up for adoption yet, please just wait a bit and contact me when your agency is really up and running!
- If your agency is listed here and you intend to change to a different petpage, PLEASE neomail me so I can change the link, as well! This way, I won't erase your entry when I do a sweep to cut out shut-down adoption agencies!
- Please remember that asking for petpage applications is now against the rules. I won't accept any adoption agencies that ask for petpage applications.
