Rules of the RSS for Members:
NOTE:
By applying to membership and/or attending boards you must and will follow RSS rules listed.

Applying to join RSS serves as an agreement to follow the rules stated below. Watchers have binding power as far as membership goes. If you get a reasonable request from one of the watchers or monitors, it's in everybody's best interest to listen to them - otherwise, they wouldn't be watchers.

The following are a list composed of RSS rules voted in by the watchers of RSS. - Additionally, the Neopets Terms & Conditions obviously apply on RSS boards. If it isn't allowed on Neopets by TNT, then it will not be tolerated on RSS boards. Behavior falling into this category puts not only your membership on the line, but also your account. Don't be stupid.

-1. RSSers ranked Potential and above can make 'legal' RSS boards as long as there is not one already made.
Please let a watcher know if yous see a board created by someone who does not fall into this category (either Underwatched or non-member).
NOTE: The account making the board must be on the member list. If you're on a side account, either have someone else make a board, or come onto your main account first.

-2. The title of the board MUST include the word 'Screenie'. Can't think of a name? Try Here

-3. The board creator must MUST neomail the board link to 5 of the watchers/monitors (Sabre, Sk8, Lex, Mau, and Brain.

If you aren't feeling lazy, please neomail these people too; more people = better board. Note, anyone in addition to the 5 watchers/monitors is optional.

-4. The first post MUST contain the Official Greeting or a Summary of what RSS is for. - You are not absolutely required to copy and paste, just include the key infomation on the group. (Where to find the offical petpage, what RSS is, everyone's welcome, etc.)

-5. Be polite and courteous. Visitors are to be welcomed AND their screenies rated if asked. Harrassers should be tolerated and dealt with politely.

-6. The first RSSer (Potential or above) to post on the 25th page makes the new board.

-7. Flaming is strictly not allowed, as well as any sort of fighting.
Flaming is considered as causing a fight, and offenders WILL be punished. In particularly severe cases offenders may be removed from the group.

-8. Criticizing or flaming of ANYTHING (another chat group, an individual, etc.) is strictly forbidden on RSS boards. We want RSS to be a pleasant experience for all.

-9. General chat, while allowed, should not take over the majority of the board. Spam, chain letters, ect. are not tolerated. - As a rule of thumb, if staff asks you to stop talking about that topic, stop.
As well, if another member requests (politely) for you to 'cut it out', please consider their request.

-10. Chatspeak is generally discouraged. Whereas a small amount may fit into the converation and amuse people, please try to use it sparingly. - It makes it difficult to hold a conversation.

-11. When someone comes to an RSS board and asks for their screenies to be rated, please go look at them, rate them, give them suggestions, etc. RSS is a screenie chat group, after all.

-12. Keep in mind, RSS is not a roleplaying group, nor is it on the roleplaying boards.

Penalties
As with most things, breaking the rules leads to consequences. Depending on the offense, the punishment could vary from no action, to a warning, to a suspension, to expulsion from the group. Anything more significant than a warning will be looked at by the watchers on an individual basis, and an appropriate punishment will be chosen.
