Welcome, guest!

You have been walking. Walking so far, you have no idea what is north and south any more (for you lost your compass at the beginning of your journey). You have already begun to see marages and other forms of mockery of the mind, yet you trudge on. Sooner of later, you're bound to stumble upon a little town, right?

Farther and farther along you will yourself, putting one foot in front of the other with grim determination. You can't give up. Not after what you've been through. It began as just a little adventure. Do you remember?

It was about a month ago. You decided you'd seen enough of the little town you had grown up in. You confronted your mother with the idea of an adventure, confident she would allow it. But she didn't, did she? And in your rage, you stole a month's worth of food and stole out. Out of that house, out of that town, leaving it all behind. Here you are now, my friend. I can see it from your eyes you are burdened with sorrow and regret. If only you had listened to your mother! How foolish you have been!

You ran out of food a fortnight ago. Your stomach has begun to protest. But what is there to eat? There is nothing along the road you travel. You got so hopelessly lost and strayed away from your trail early on in your trip. Now you have no idea if you're even in the same region! You only follow the little dirt road you managed to stumble on and hope.

But what's that? Could that be a person in the distance? A fellow scorchio to help you, to point you in the right direction? You break into a run, blinded with happiness and hope. Your legs, so tired and used to the slow trudge at which you'd been pacing, stumble like a young lamb's. "Hey!" you call to the figure. You aren't even sure what direction it is headed. "You there! Stop!" you call after it.

You are close enough to see now. It is a middle-aged ixi housewife carrying a jug of water. She turns, a confused and utterly bewildered look on her face. "Please..." you begin in a voice that does not sound like your own. "Do you know where we are? Is there a town nearby?" You begin to get nervous. What if she was as lost as he?

The woman smiles. "Yes, my dear," she said in a soft, gentle voice. "My town is just a half mile from here. Dandem, it's called. Just in that valley." She gestures down the road. Your whole body fills with joy, from your head down to your toes. "We're right on the outskirts of Brightvale, love," she added, realising she neglected a question.

You follow her into the town of Dandem. It is a large village with cobblestone walkways and tan, well-built houses. The community seems to be working rather well, and a small mansion is in the distance. "What's that?" you ask the woman, indicating the extravagant building at the head of town.

She glanced up from her jug. "That's the King's palace," answered the ixi. "King Julius. He rules this part of the country side."

About the Applicant

Imaginary Simone
My persona on Neopets is very much the same as in real life. I try not to make up some elaborate character or anything that I could get tired of or change a lot. The name Simone is very close to my real one, which I prefer not to use online for personal reasons. I take French in school, and my teacher calls me Simone.

Boring Simone
Hopefully, this application will be so fantastic that this next paragraph or two will be the most boring part out of the whole sha-bang! I'm a very kind, bubbly person. I'm extremely friendly, and sometimes over-trusting. I hold grudges. I have lots and lots of friends. I have a Jack Russell Terrier named Daisy and a little brother. I love to dance, act, sing, preform, design, draw, and collect things.

I love neopets. I love it! I've been on Neo for about... Five years now. S_luvs_chombies is my main account and my side is sodapoppe. I've had some other accounts, but those are the two I use currently. I very rarely switch accounts, however. I get on the computer about thirty minutes to an hour every day. I have gone on hiatus from Neopets before, but again, that is very seldom. The longest I've been away is a week (and I put my pets in the Neolodge with pool access and everything... I don't think they missed me!).
