A slight breeze carried across the landscape, rustling the knee high grass already damp with dew, and causing the leaves on the tall trees to dance with the rhythm.
You took in your surroundings; it was beautiful night indeed. So quiet… so peaceful… so….
You stopped short in your thoughts when a masculine voice filled the air. It was so beautiful, that you couldn't help but be drawn in by its presence. Making your way through the waving blades, you came to the base of a very tall oak tree. Glancing up, you noticed, amongst the tree's branches, it was a dragon singing the lyrics to a calming song. It sounded as if the song was written by the wind itself. Then you remembered hearing that song before: Anywhere But Here by Safetysuit.
Is this the end of the moment
Or just a beautiful unfolding
Of a love that will never be?
Or maybe be
Everything that I never thought could happen
Or ever come to pass and

Cautiously, you moved a bit closer to the beast, hoping he wouldn't notice you. Apparently he hadn't for he continued to sing….
Is this a natural feeling

The dragon stopped abruptly. A twig had snapped beneath your foot as you were moving even closer. Immediately you regretted the decision for the beast's green eyes glowed, and he leapt from his perch in the confines of the tree. He landed in front of you, his snow white sabers gleaming in the moonlight. He was a lot larger than you anticipated--he had to be at least eleven feet tall and twenty feet long from head to tail. The dragon craned his neck so that his head was parallel with your's. In his eyes your image was reflected.
Who are you?" his voice seemed unnaturally loud in the quiet atmosphere. You jumped. You hadn't expected him to talk.
Your throat seemed to grow dry and when you answered the dragon your voice was hoarse: "guest…"
He titled his head, his oddly coloured hair falling over his sunken in eyes. Then something totally unexpected happened; he smiled and said; "Pleasure to meet you, guest,"
Releasing your pent up breath, moisture seemed to flow back into your mouth. This dragon wasn't hostile like some of the others you've met in the past, no, he wasn't that at all, just a little protective of his territory when intruders entered it. But, then again, what creature wasn't this day-and-age? Even humans were getting a little too protective of their property. Often resulting in small conflicts here and there, but nothing the police couldn't handle.
Uhm…," you started nervously, "what's your name…?"
The dragon's smile faded and was replaced with a sad frown. "You humans call me The Flying Dead. My true name, however, is Kaisre."
Kaisre… that's a nice name!"
I thought so too at one time…"
You decided not to press that matter further, thinking it might upset him. "You wish to know about me?" His voice startled you yet again.
Uh… s-sure…"
Very well…. Sit down…. And listen to my tale…."

Bloodspire: Bloodspire is truly an unique creature. She's the one responsible for us outcasts living in her house. It's kind of her to let us all stay there; still.... there's something she's hiding from us all. I can sense it...
Maya: Maya... Apparently she's not just a dragon, but she's part cat as well. I wondered for hours how that was even possible, since she never bothered to tell me, when her friend Maia came up to me and said Maya was the subject of terrible scientific tests--one of which was gene splicing--and that resulted in her becoming part cat. Poor thing... Still you have to admit... she's kind of cute when she acts like a kitten. Heh heh.
Maia: Maia was the one I mentioned earlier. You know? Maya's friend? Anyway, Maia went through basically the same tests as Maya, but her's were more severe. She's been chained to operating tables, had electrical wires driven through her skull, you name it. Poor thing... she's truly suffered more then we know...
Seliaru: Ahh yes... the banshee... There isn't much to say about her, except that she feeds off of others' misery. I would stay clear of her if I were you.
