The story begins anew... the once peppy brown doe recessing into a world of silence after an injury sustained while traveling. But the doe has returned to her lively flower-filled world, though her journey is now that of loneliness, as her friends have faded fast; she's ready to take back the noisy world she once roamed. Such is the story of Myhir.

---THE BEGINNING---

A tiny bundle of joy.

Myhir was not always the spunky brown doe you see bounding about today. Her life began back on June 2, 2004 as a tiny green shoyru. Perhaps born a mistake, she was dumped into the pound before she had even reached an hour in age. Fortunately, a young pound-scanner came across her unusual name.

It had been quite a while since Albi had owned a shoyru. She had only owned two in her lifetime, but both were when she was much younger and had the availability of vast amounts of land for them to fly. Now that she had a home with a few other pets, the idea of having such an avian pet was somewhat upsetting. But the name... "Myhir"... it was intriguing, and after only a moment or two of thought, the impulse-buyer grabbed her from the pound.

The tiny scaled Shoyru was brought home, and a very worried Albi immediately fell in love with her. Whether it was the small frail body of the unwanted pet, whom had been dumped before her life had even begun, or whether it was the idea that perhaps she'd have a quiet, normal pet in the house, Albi just couldn't get over the feeling that their relationship would be something special.

The eldest of the household, Tavanni the purple Peophin, was quick to help out with the new family member. Luckily, Tavi had always been the motherly type, so while Albi was away at school, Myhir was sure to be left in good hands... erm.. hooves...

But something still plagued the household. Myhir was a Shoyru, and although she was still much too young to fly, her wings would surely cause her much trouble in the future. Albi had been apprehensive enough about the idea of Tavi being a Peophin, a water-logged species whom usually didn't do well when stranded on land... but to have a flying pet as well?

The decision was made to morph Myhir when she was old enough... of course, the proper age would be determined by her mindset and her ability to choose her own path properly. This came before she was even a year old, well enough before she had the complete ability to fly.

Albi proposed her plan to the young Myhir as they sat about the kitchen table. Tavanni was out for the morning, doing the grocery shopping as usual, though the elder sister knew well enough what was going on back at home. The young pet didn't like the idea at first... of course, she was to be morphed into an entirely different species! Her wings would vanish, and most likely, she'd be forced upon four legs, instead of the two she waltzed upon now. The choice was hard, but Myhir gave in under the circumstances that she'd be able to choose a color to be painted. If she were to be morphed to another species, she may as well enjoy a new color to go along with it, right?

Albi agreed, and her new body was chosen from a large selection of species in which Albi had none of. The Ixi. It was a relatively new species, and Albi hadn't come across one in which she wished to adopt. Myhir would be her first Ixi, and would surely be the more special of any others she may gather in the future. For Myhir's part of the deal, she chose the color Silver, her second favorite color next to purple (which she thought was too bold a color to be painted).

And so, Albi went out to buy both the potion and the paint brush, of which she only had enough money for one. The potion came first, and Myhir was morphed into her new quadruped state. Her black ring-like markings transferred to her new body, wrapping up her legs and ears... her wings, too, transferred over, though they were now feathered and completely useless. The two appendages hung in the air above her shoulders; it was truly odd, though the family guessed it must have been a side-effect of the magical potion.

Albi began saving up for the Silver Paint Brush which had been promised to Myhir, but it was then that an error occurred in their plan. Unfortunately for Myhir, it was found that Ixi's could not be painted Silver. Myhir was stuck as the brown doe she had been morphed into, as her end of the deal fell through. No other color was suitable for the newly-morphed doe, and a promise was made to paint her Silver as soon as the color was made available.

Oddly enough, years later, Ixi still cannot be painted Silver, one of the simplest of the color-choices. Fortunately, Myhir has since grown to love her new form, and would never think of changing back to the Shoyru she had once been, or of changing her lovely brown coat.

---A STORY OF FLIGHT---

Her wings reborn.

Though Myhir had lost the ability to fly as a young Shoyru when she was first morphed, she managed to gain the wondrous feature back through lust and friendship. Luckily for Albi, her new wings are small enough that even if the doe were to decided to fly in the house, her wings never need to be extended, in which they may cause the ill-effect of knocking many a piece of furniture off it's stand. Her tiny angelic wings have the ability to flutter at such a speed that one may think she were part hummingbird. At the same time, even though they are not physically connected to her body, she can easily use them to lift herself from the ground in flight.

How is this done, you ask?

Well the answer lies within a late friendship the doe had with another. Like many of her friends, Myhir met Lolli while out questing for something to occupy her time. She bumped into the darker colored doe and the two started to talk. Lolli, whom was a quickly-improving young mage, brought up the subject of flight after noticing Myhir's tiny wings. The subject rolled on to Myhir's inability to fly, since her wings were much too small, and seemed to serve more as a decoration then anything else since her morph. Lolli, wanting to try out a new spell that could perhaps help Myhir's situation, promised to find a way to help Myhir fly, if Myhir would allow the use of magic on her form. Myhir quickly agreed to the deal; after all, she had already been morphed by use of a magic potion, what more could the magic do to harm her? After a few failed attempts, Lolli finally got the spell right, and granted Myhir the ability to fly through the use of magic.

The magic Myhir possesses comes from within her two crystalline wings. When she wants to fly, the same magic which allows her wings to float above her at all times, grants her wings the strength to lift her body from the ground without severing the bond they have to her body. Myhir can easily fly by herself now, at any given time. Since she uses her wings so often, they've since built up a great deal of strength, and she has the power to fly with one other member of her weight or slightly greater. Unfortunately, she can only carry one other being, as it is a great strain on her wings. If one were to observe her carrying such a weight, they'd take notice that her wings will pull further from her shoulders then they normally would, the magic stretching to it's furthest abilities to carry out the task Myhir asks of it.

Myhir has also found that she cannot muster the magic she possesses to use it for anything other then flying. This doesn't seem to bother the doe at all, though; as flight was the only thing she still longed for after her morph.

---THE DARKEST OF DAYS---

A true story.

Though Myhir was always the spunky, spontaneous doe she is today, she's calmed down quite a bit from how she was years ago. It's been almost two and a half years since the "incident", but no one in the family has forgotten the horrible days which followed. Though all have healed and pushed the terrible memories to the back of their minds, Myhir had the worst of it, and cannot help but allow the memory out every now and again.

It was back in August when Albi started having problems at home. She visited less and less each week, and prepped her pets for what was about to happen. Her family was splitting due to a divorce between her mother and step-father. They were moving, and it would be a while before she had the time and access to come and care for her beloved pets. She left everything that would be needed to allow her extended family to care for themselves while she was away; food, water, shelter, and a list of directions to the other family members she had, as her family had grown from her two closet members of Myhir and Tavanni, to a full family of Eyrie she cared for as well. If anything were to happen, both sides of the family could count on each other for help, she told them.

She left with great hopes that everything would go well for her pets. Tavanni, after all, practically ran the household by herself as it was; everything should go fine.

But it didn't. While Albi was locked out of her second life by the real-time move, a hacker snuck in to take hostage of her entire family. Unbeknownst to Albi, the hacker was her own ex-stepfather. He managed to kidnap each and every family member; locking Albi out of her own home and holding her pets hostage without food, water, or freedom. While none of her items or wealth were touched by his tainted hands, her pets were suffering inside.

Albi began to get real-time phone calls in which the kidnapper would slyly hint that her pets were dying. Albi couldn't do anything to save them.

The cat-and-mouse game went on for a month. Albi tried to start anew... got herself a young Lupe, which she managed to paint brown with the help of her friend. Although the new pet offered comfort during the terrible time, it did nothing to stop the pain of knowing she had other pets that were suffering and needed her help.

Then the hacker struck again. While Albi was at school, her beloved Lupe was taken from her, too. The poor pup would suffer the same fate as the rest of her pets; locked within it's own home without food, water, or freedom.

Albi was devastated. Everything she had was taken from her. Her homes, her wealth, and her pets.

She tried one last time to start a new life, watching all the while, her other pets in secret. Though she couldn't get to them, it offered her slight comfort to know that at least there was still hope; that because they were still within their own homes, she had a chance of stealing them back. If any of them were lost to pound, Albi would be beside herself.

With her new home set up, Albi began searching for a pet to fill it. Then the messages came, addressed from her last place of residence, where her Lupe pup was held hostage. "I'm going to put your pets in the pound, and you'll never see them again." The threat stung harshly, as Albi knew it was very likely the hacker could and would carry out his plans. Before she even had time to react, her Lupe was dumped. The brown pup had been kicked out of her home and into the pound where she could be snatched up by anyone in the world. Albi rushed to grab her, her hands shaking as she dove through pages of pets to take back what had once been hers.

Luckily enough, amongst hundreds of other people whom were pound surfing at the time, Albi managed to claim back her Lupe. It was a stroke of luck that came when it was needed most.

This one small stroke wasn't enough for Albi, though. The hacker had infuriated her, and she was hungry for vengeance. With her heart pounding, Albi contacted the Neopets Team in hopes of proving that these places of residence had in fact once been hers. She went back and forth with the TNT many times over, but was finally able to convince them to let her in. She had won, for now.

But the hardest part came once she had tasted victory. She still had to move her pets out of there. These homes were no longer safe for them. If the hacker had gotten in once, she was sure he could again. She began by moving Tavanni, with the help of a friend. Tavi was safely transferred, and the next in line would be Myhir.

The two friends prepared the next day for their transfer of the brown doe. The first had gone well from this residence, and the transfer of one of Albi's Eyries had gone just as well. They readied themselves, and as the time clock hit the time they had both selected, Myhir was pushed into the pound to be fished out again. But Albi's friend wasn't quick enough to grab the brown doe back out. She had been adopted by another.

Albi's heart was broken. After all the time they had spent together, after all the time she had worried and waited to finally be reunited with her beloved Ixi, it was for nothing.

Albi quickly mailed the new owner and explained what had happened. Luckily for her, the owner had just lost a beloved purple pet to a similar situation. They understood fully what had happened, but were still reluctant to return their newly acquired pet. Albi stumbled over herself, trying to come up with a deal solid enough for her to gain Myhir back. Her initial move was risky, but would be well worth it if it worked. If not, she'd lose two of her pets to the stranger.

Albi took a look at the other pets the pound-surfer had. They seemed to like painted pets, though seemingly the species of the pet didn't much matter to them. Albi had managed to lab a yellow Kacheek of hers into a faerie, a very lucky shot seeing as it had been her first zap on the small yellow pet. She offered Myhir's new sister as a trade... the rare faerie Kacheek for the plain brown doe.

The surfer agreed, though only if they could have the Kacheek first. Albi jumped at the chance, and quickly set up a time to where she could transfer the pet over. Luckily, the transfer went smoothy, and her faerie pet was soon over with Myhir. It was comforting to know that Myhir would have the chance to see her sister again before she moved home with her original owner; but the comfort didn't last as trouble struck again. The pound surfer had already put a pet in the pound for the day, and could not return Myhir.

Albi suggested that they just do the transfer the next day. Though she didn't like the idea of waiting, there wasn't much that could be done... she'd just have to trust the surfer's word that her pet would be returned. The odds were against her, with two of her pets in the stranger's possession, she didn't have much more to offer for Myhir's safe return. She'd just have to wait it out.

And so she did. Albi waited for an entire week before she was able to safely recover Myhir. The surfer, although they seemed to have good intentions, was quite apprehensive about returning what they had rightfully grabbed from the pound. They came up with multiple excuses of how they had accidentally gotten rid of a pet for the day; or worse, they wouldn't show up at all. But Myhir was safely returned a week later, and was overjoyed to be returned to her beloved owner.

All had turned out well in the end. Though the threat of the hacker lasted a few months longer, with many dry threats sent through the mail, and two attempts at dumping Albi's most beloved Eyrie into the pound (both times in which she managed to safely reacquire her pet), the family has managed to live in peace since.

It's been nearly two and a half years since the incident, and everything has since settled. Though the hacker had done his best to try and tear the family apart, all that resulted was the family growing more together.

---THE DOE---

More about Myhir.

Myhir has always been a  mysterious doe. Her past started out in the pound, and before that, no one has a clue as to where she came from. Aside from her strange markings, and the odd effect of magic on her person, such as her webbed Shoyru-wings transforming into the small feathered ones she bares now, her accent has brought up quite the amount of questions as well.

How did she gain such an unusual accent, especially when gotten at such a young age to where she could've learned to speak from her new family (of which had no members with accents at the time of her being adopted). And what accent is it, exactly?

Well, to our knowledge, Myhir's accent seems to be similar to french, but it's broken at best. Aside from mispronouncing the letters H, and TH, her speech is completely understandable. She does accent a few other letters while speaking, such as the letter I which she seems to pronounce more along the lines of "ee" when it's in the middle of a word. The same goes for the letter A, which is pronounced more closely to "ah", regardless as to where it is within a word. It seems as though her last flaw would be her pronunciation of the letters ER, which she says as "aier". Because of these odd pronunciations, words such as "person" can easily sound like "Pairson" to those who aren't expecting her speech impediment.

As for the doe's markings, there really is no explanation for it. Her markings were  with her during her time in the pound, and they simply stayed around, even during her transformation. Her wings did the same, though they managed to transform themselves into tiny feathered wings, which are very much useless aside from acting as decoration unless magic is used with them.

Myhir herself is certainly quite the character. She, perhaps, is not the most unusual looking of Doe's, but she's got enough quirks to last her a lifetime. Her personality is no exception of this, either. Though being a very caring and friendly soul, her shyness has long wore off. She's ready to befriend anyone who asks her the time of day.  Myhir is also slow to react in most situations, though she's quick to temper. Although she doesn't get annoyed by much, beware when she does decide to go on a rampage, because a rampage it will be! The poor doe's patience level doesn't help her at all once her temper is on the rise. Though she's got all the patience in the world for her friends, her family and any inanimate object that may want to bother her has got the short end of the stick.

But all in all, Myhir is a loving, caring soul. She is undeniably loyal to her friends, family, and even her petpet (although she'd never admit it), and would do anything in her power to help any living soul who truly needed it.

---THE PETPET---

The annoying avian.

Silver Feather, the annoyingly loyal Airax has been with Myhir for years. He was first given to Myhir as a gift from Albi... a way to say "I'm sorry", since Silver was not an available color for Ixi to be painted. Unfortunately, it wasn't an available color for petpet's, either; and so Silver was painted white, the closest thing Albi could get.

Myhir thoroughly enjoyed Silver's company at first. She enjoyed his loyalty, his company, and the sympathy he gave. He was a great friend... that is, until the "incident". Once Myhir and the family were kidnapped, Silver was thrust off and separated in hopes that he'd be able to do better for himself, rather then sit and suffer in the house like the rest of the family. Myhir was able to quickly push him out the window one night, thinking that he'd be happier outside where he could take care of himself. Unfortunately, it didn't go quite as planned.

Silver had bonded so closely with Myhir, that he couldn't bare leaving her. He struggled to get back inside the house, and spent many sleepless nights perched upon one of the house's many windowsills in hopes of making it back inside. Myhir never seemed to realize this, and once she and the family were freed, Silver make a quick move to be back with her.

The bond they share has since been shattered. Silver, from being separated from Myhir for so long, has got a sort of separation-anxiety... When he's around Myhir, he wants nothing more then to just perch upon her head, and sit happily. But this doesn't please Myhir, as she wants her own time alone... without a bird on her head.

Myhir can often times be heard swearing and threatening her petpet; though one is to know that she doesn't mean any of it. Deep down, Myhir still loves her bird-buddy; though she'd never admit it aloud. Just because Silver can sometimes be clingy, and other-times completely independent and even taunting, doesn't mean that Myhir would ever bring any of her dry-threats to life.

---ADOPTABLES---

Because they're cute.

Everyone loves collecting adoptables, and Myhir is no exception. Sometimes it can be hard, though, with many people wanting trades only. Because of this, Myhir's got a set for herself so she can trade with anyone she wants, giving them out, and receiving some for herself in the mean-time! Check the status below before asking for an adoptable, please, as they may be closed, or set as trades only.

Oh my, looks as if we've still got a LOT to write about. Well, I'll just stuff some fan-art/trades down here to fill up space ;D

Please note that the images you see below were NOT drawn by Albi. The art was done by their respective owners, and I do thank them all for drawing Myhir so well. Some were done as fan art, and other's as trades or requests. How I obtained them will be listed just below the preview image for each one, along with the artists name or username and a link to them (If for some reason there is no link, it's most likely that the person was frozen or no longer plays neopets, to where I have to where to link to).  I urge viewers to please look at the full images, as the pieces below are simply the previews for each one, and they don't show off the full beauty of the images. :3
