Quote of the Week

An intoxicating aroma hung freely in the air and settled around the whole field going whichever way the wind happened to blow. Hues of every shade could be seen in this field flowers and blossoms blooming everywhere. Petals traveled with the wind and floated softly in the air. Trees towered over, and sunlight beamed through the emerald leaves of the trees casting a transcendent glow to the ground. Vines curled and twisted with the trees, they wrapped around every branch each bursting with blossoms. A once golden gate, now taken over by time stood and appeared to be one with the vines.

Reasons why Cubefish are underappreciated

Summertime is the perfect season to head off to Maraqua for a day of fishing! While there are dozens of species of fish and other marine life that call Maraqua home, the best of all of them is the Cubefish. If you've ever caught a Cubefish while fishing at the Ye Old Fishing Vortex, you probably thought "Oh, look, it's a fish that's cube-shaped", and tossed the fellow back without another thought. Or maybe you've never seen a Cubefish - a shocking thought, really - and now I've piqued your curiosity (muwahaha). Well folks, whether you've never seen a Cubefish before, or love them as much as I do (which is a lot), here are some reasons why Cubefish are absolutely amazing. I'll also include some ways we can appreciate them even more! Reasons Cubefish are the best fish: 1. They're Extremely Space-Efficient Have you ever tried to stack a bushel of Tangellas? What about a bundle of Eyefish? Well it's no surprise that it probably didn't work out so well...just imagine, a food that was actually designed to be stacked! No more worrying about toppling towers or your meal rolling away. The Cubefish is so space-efficient, in fact, they had to put it in the description. Look it up if you don't believe me!

Is Turdle Racing Worth It? A Statistical Analysis

Introduction Turdle Racing (TR) in Meridell, the considerably smellier cousin of Poogle Racing, seems to be often overlooked - probably because unlike its Faerieland counterpart, it doesn't have an avatar to its name. However, its lack of glamour doesn’t mean it isn’t worthy of recognition! I myself came across it while investigating older parts of the sites, in an attempt to find new dailies or games that could be profitable. Many of the older games on the website were designed to bring Neopoints into the economy, when the site was just starting up (see also: Stock market, Food Club). I theorise that since TR is a very old game that has not been updated, it is possible to play in such a way that you can consistently make a profit by playing it. This investigation aimed to determine whether or not this is true by analysing the results of 441 Turdle races which I played over about 5 months. Please note that, in this article, “profit” generally refers to “profit on average” or “profit in the long run”. This is a luck based game, so it isn’t about what might happen for each individual game. Rather, we are theorising about general trends.

10 Coolest Meridellian Avatars and How to Get Them

Let the trumpets sound and flags raise high, as the annual festival in celebration of the Discovery of Meridell makes its annual appearance. This year marks a special celebration, as rumors of King Skarl making one of his rare public appearances and news of new themed Skarl goodies swirl amongst the Meridellian inhabitants. What’s more, commemorative stamp albums have been recognised by the upper hierarchy of Neopia just over a month prior, with avatars pertaining to the historic Meridellian events given out to the most devout philatelists.

"Consolation Prize" by liezelotte8
Jimmy heaved out a breath, his red paws aching just a little from having climbed the path leading up the temple. He usually prized himself for his stamina, but after his journey, he assumed it was only natural to feel an ache. The long, winding paths were unlike the forests of Mystery Island, where he had lived with other Kougras of his kind. And, back home, there definitely hadn't been any bridges to cross, hanging high above an abyss. As it turned out, the Lunar Temple was even more magnificent up close. It was a construction that seemed quite foreign to him, like most buildings in Shenkuu. Not that the foreignity of it bothered him. In fact, now more than ever, Jimmy wanted to explore the mysteries inside of it. Imagine all the hidden information he might find! Almost vibrating with excitement, he reached forward to knock on the door, which loomed over him in its greatness. For a moment, nothing happened. Then, after what seemed like an eternity, the door creaked open. Jimmy had expected to see someone on the other side, there to greet him, but the space in front of him appeared entirely empty. And dark. Jimmy looked at it a while longer, as though the image in front of him would change. Even as hesitation gnawed at him, his paws dragged him over the threshold. Though as soon as he touched the temple floor, a familiar bearded individual blocked his path. In shock, Jimmy stumbled back.

Vines curled and twisted with the trees, they wrapped around every branch each bursting with blossoms. A once golden gate, now taken over by time stood and appeared to be one with the vines. Warm sunbeams peeked through the leaves and danced on Vira’s face this caused her to smile. The sweet smell of summer brought back some of Vira’s fondest memories. Vira had all her warmest memories in this field, even when was a young Acara all her happy thoughts all came back to this field. The field had been here for as long as Vira could remember, it never changed, and always remained constant. It was as if stepping into this place made time stand still, it always made Vira feel at peace and safe. Her favorite part was the grand entrance a magnificent gate with tall columns stood in the front of the field. Although the gate was now rusted and long past its prime, it still made Vira feel like a princess. She would do a curtsey and a little twirl every time she entered her haven. Large jade eyes, thick black eyelashes,

"Lupe Pack Detectives-Copycat" by lupe_hunter_7
It was probably early in the morning, around five-o-clock or so, when I, a Blue Lupe, woke up to the sound of someone loudly banging our front door. I was definitely irritated by it, but I got up as it was not something that I could easily ignore. Fortunately, I was not the only one irritated by the banging and the overall timing as I could see the rest of my siblings, still half-asleep, poking their heads out of their bedroom doors and probably wondering what was going on. When I opened the door, there stood a Green Techo, wearing a Defenders of Neopia messenger badge. “I sure hope that this is both urgent and important because we’re trying to sleep here,” I grumbled towards the messenger as it was usually the reason why someone from the DoN would be up and about at this time. “It is, as there’s an emergency detective meeting. What it’s about, I was never told, but Agent Forest Knoll the Skunk Kyrii is presiding over it.” After he mentioned the meeting, I had mixed feelings about it. On one hand, I was not happy as I still remembered the time we were summoned to the DoN, only to find out that we were no longer employed, although that was a ploy for a hostile takeover. On the other hand, I knew Forest was trustworthy as we were the ones who returned him to the DoN.In the end, I decided to head to the DoN Headquarters by myself, but I did leave a note for my siblings telling them where I was headed to.
