A new era has begun in Neopia. You must have noticed, what with all the new
games, items, and of course, the new Training School. That's right, Pirate Fever
is spreading all over the site, and it's VERY contagious. But, a strange creature
has been born in all this Pirate Madness. Yes, it's Cap'n Threelegs.
He's a scary looking, white and brown, three-legged Eyrie that runs the new
Training School for poorer Neopians or anyone who want to save their Neopoints.
Sometimes he is very nice to you, and welcomes you to the School but sometimes
the Captain's more wary.
He distrusts the Techo at the Training School on Mystery Island. Well, who
could blame the guy? The Techo is his direct competition, and with the prices
of Dubloons soaring, soon there might not even be a comparison between them;
Neopians will resort back to the old favourites, Codestones, and the Captain
will be out of business.
However, this article is not about the Training School - it's about the soul
behind the feathers, the sensitive, feeling Eyrie hidden under the wooden leg.
It's about Cap'n Threelegs, as a person.
Luckily for you, we had an exclusive interview with the man himself earlier
today. Here's how it went.
Me: Hello, Cap'n Threelegs, how are you feeling today?
Cap'n Threelegs: Arrr, as sick as a parrot.
Me: Oh, is that so? May I ask why?
CT: Got a bad case of the scurvy, Ma'am, so don't be comin' too close, y'hear?
Me: Ah, OK. (covers mouth with handkerchief and quickly crosses to other side
of room) Ahem. So, why did you decide to open this Training School when there
is already one existing on Mystery Island?
CT: Well, for a long time now, since I was a Skipper on me first voyage, I
thought that it wasn't fair for ye poor deck swabbers, with the prices of Codestones
being higher than me ship's mast. So, I set about openin' me own School, for
ye not so rich people.
Me: How considerate of you. So, what do you think about the prices of Dubloons
increasing every day?
CT: Arrr, makes me angrier than a skull and crossbones, Ma'am. I opened my
school to help poor Neopians, not to help ye olde rich folk to make a profit.
Lower ye prices, or else!!
Me: Please calm down, Captain. There may be young Neopians reading, we don't
want to upset them, do we?
CT: Aye, I am sorry, Ma'am.
Me: That's all right, Captain. Anyway, changing the subject, do you have any
views on the Lupe/Chia Debate?
CT: Arrr, I do, yes.
Me: Well....could we hear them?
CT: No, 'fraid not.
Me: Okay then....Errr....Oh, what do you think will become of all this Pirate
CT: NONSENSE! Aye, I know a Pirate's life is a hard life, but how dare ye call
it nonsense!! ARRR! (Leaps up and starts brandishing his sword in my direction)
Me: Aaaaiiiieeeee! Please, Captain!!! Eeeeeeek!! I mean, errrrrr, what do you,
ummm, make of all these Pirate........happenings, yes, that's good, happenings?
CT: Aye, that's better. I think it's the start of a new world.
Me: Really?! Well, being the Captain, you must have more information than that!
Do tell! (mutters to self) Imagine the look on the readers' faces when they
see this....inside information on a brand new world, with the discovery of the
Lost Desert only weeks behind us!!
CT: Aye, I do have more information, but I'm not tellin' a yellow bellied,
gold diggin', nosey parker like ye. So long, me nosey friend. (Leaves the room)
Me: Wait Captain!!! This interview isn't over yet!!! Wait!!! I still have a
few questions to ask!!!! What profit do you make from the Training School?!
How many Dubloons do you have in your Bank?!! How did you lose your leg?!!!
So, there you have it. Cap'n Threelegs is a jolly nice man, but cross him,
and you're dead meat. Believe me, I got off extremely lightly....The reporter
that was supposed to do the interview got, erm... if you get my drift. Whoops!
