I was born to Lord Kiritan and Lady Hema of Marut in Kathak. The third born, and the oldest daughter of all of my siblings and half-siblings. My childhood was grand. I had everything I needed and wanted. And I had many half-siblings to play with. Our palace was large and beautiful. Of course, not as large and beautiful as the King's or the Prince's of Kathak. But my father had a providence to rule over, answering to no on e but the King.
All of my father's children were spared no expense. We got the finest clothing, the finest jewelry, the best food, and the greatest of education by a Governess named Talika. She taught us all about math, and english, and history, and yoga, and basic mediation. She told us of the world outside of Karthik. But of course, when I turned of age I was graduated and moved on to what all highest ranking noble females move on to... Companion School. I didn't mind it, in fact I enjoyed learning advanced mediation, and I loved learning about the Chakras, and I enjoyed The Art of Henna. I even liked music, and learning the different languages of the world.
But, of course upon my graduation, Prince Hanuman wanted me as another of his wives, and paid my father a hefty dowery for me. You see, where I come from, the nobles of the country can have more than on e wife, if they so choose. I, of course did not want to be some new trophy for this vain and arrogent prince, and I especially didn't want to marry if it wasn't for love. I mean he had thirteen other wives, who he completely forgot about when he saw me. It would be just a matter of time before I would be forgotten as well. And so I expressed this to my father.
My father got mad, yelling at me and telling me I should be honored to be a wife of the prince(the youngest and most annoying of three boys, might I add, and not the future king of Karthik). My father told me I was going to marry Hanuman the next morning, wether I wanted to or not. That night, when everyone was asleep, I packed up most of my things, jewelry to sell if I needed the money, scarves to consceal my identiy, and food. As I was leaving the palace, Henali, my younger sister by a few years stopped me, asking where I was going. So I explained to her what had happened, and that I was leaving. Although she was sad to see me go, she thought I made the right choice and promised to keep it quiet that I had run away, as long as I wrote to her and let her know I was alright.

So, I left my home, and flew east, to the mainland or the desert. During the days is was so extremely hot, and during the nights it was freezing cold. I had no water for days, until I reached the cities of Sakhmet and Quasala. At first, I saw them from the distance, and I thought the gebmids were merages, as I had seen water so many times but it was never there. Nevertheless, I continued on my way to the gebmids, and thankfully I had found the two cities. I was replenished with water, and a friendly elderly couple told me I could stay with them for a few days.
On a side note about Gebmids, the elderly couple told me about the ledgend. Legend has it that there was an ancient Geb named Sutek. He was stronger, fitter, and cleverer than the other Gebs, and was praised by all for his courage and wisdom. When he died, they built him a tomb that was the same shape as him (known as a Gebmid). It had four triangular sides, and a square base. There are now many Gebmids around the Lost Desert, but Sutek's was the first.
Anyways, I really enjoyed Sakhmet. The streets were just as busy as back in Karthik, and there were friendly vendors everywhere. I really loved Osiris's Pottery. I bought some, thinking that when I get a house I'd have some things to decorate it.
Anyways, I wrote to Henali the second day I was there, and sent the letter off. During the next few days I roamed around, looking in the shops, touring the pyramids, and learning about the history. I even went into the temple of 1,000 tombs and nearly got lost! Standing at the peak of a sand dune you see a tall monolith covered with strange heiroglyphics. It is the Shrine of the late King Coltzan III. It was one of his last wishes that his ancient magical crown be placed in the shrine, for its power will protect the whole of the Lost Desert from harm. His spirit still inhabits the shrine, locals say, and if you approach, he may grant you something to help you in your battles. King Coltzan III was a brave and just warrior who governed The Lost Desert with a kind heart and generous soul for many years. His legendary status as a noble defender of The Lost Desert grew as the tales of his heroic deeds spread throughout the land. There isn't a single Sakhmetian alive who has not heard the tale of how Coltzan defeated a savage Monocerous with his bare paws, or of the time Coltzan rescued Princess Lightfoot from the clutches of the nefarious Baron Nehlaki, a story which is recounted in Sakhmet Tales a popular anthology of Sakhmetian folklore.
From what the friendly old couple were telling me, Sakhmet used to be a much prettier city. That it wasn't long ago that the curse of Quasala came and began to destroy the city. They said that a forgotten princess, Naibel married Jazan and the curse was lifted. That now Sakhmet is rebuilding(with the help of the newly reformed Quasala). I went to explore the rebuilding, and ran into this Xweetok named
Daerwyn. She was there to help with the reconstruction.
Anyways, one day, while I was out looking through the shops, I saw Hanuman and some of his guards roaming the streets, asking if anyone had seen me. I ran back to the couple's home, told them that I was in danger and had to leave, and that they could keep the pottery I bought from Osiris. I gathered up what I could carry, they packed me some food, and I fled again. I could only assume they had intercepted the letter I had sent to my sister, and found me that way.

I fled north, and ran into
Sayikki. She was a Quasalan Princess, who wanted nothing more to do with her heritage and royalty, and decided to run away as well. I told her that I, also, was on the run, but had guards after me. So we quickly made friends, and decided to travel together. It took several days of traveling in the desert to finally reach forest. On the outskirts of the forest though, we stopped. It didn't look safe. It was so dark. I honestly didn't want to go in. However, voices behind us, those of Hanuman and his Guards pushed me forward into that Haunted Woods, dragging Sayikki with me. We ran, as fast as we could through the dense thickets or thorn bushes. Those bushes scratched us, and the thorns stuck in our paws, but I could not stop. I was too frightened. Scared that Hanuman would catch me, but even more scared of the sounds in the forest.
As we reached the middle of the forest, the trees kept getting bigger and bigger. And before I knew it, one reached out and tried to grab me! All of the trees started to move, and started to try to grab at Sayikki and I. Although we were exhausted, we continued to run. It wasn't until we reached a clearing and was past the wretched trees that we slowed down to rest a little. Apparently, in this clearing, there used to be homes and villiages, and even a fair grounds. Now, the only thing I saw living there were foul creatures.
We stopped there, found a small place that seemed semi-safe, and laid down to rest. It wasn't much of a rest, merely a cat-nap, for this ugly green zafara came up to us, holding a shrunken head, asking if either one of us would get some magical ingredients for her. A light blue Aisha told the Zafara to leave us be. She wore many skirts, and shawls, and carried with her a crystal ball. She told us that she was a
gypsy fortune teller. Before I knew it, she grabbed my paw, and looked at it, telling me that I was on the run. This took hold of my attention, and I silently listened. She said that I would continue to run, for a while longer, according to the lines on my paws. She then set the crystal ball down, and waved her hand over it. I saw the vision of Hanuman's guards, without Hanuman, making their way through the forests. It frightened me, and as I was getting up to flee again, the fortune teller shouted out to me,"You will be caught. Only then will it end." I didn't know then, that she spoke the truth, I merely passed her off as fake.
Sayikki stayed behind, shouting out after me as well that she would put the guards off my trail, leading them into the eastern part of the Haunted Woods, rather than North, the way I was going. That was the last I saw of her. I wish to see her again someday, to know that she is alright, and to thank her for her kindness...

I finally made it out of the Haunted Woods, and to this rather large city in the middle of nowhere called Neopia Central. I had never seen such a big and busy city with such a diverse number of pets. There were Kougras, and Aishas, and Kaus, and Grarrls, and anything you could think of, and they had all come from other parts of the world too... Faerieland, Tyrannia, Mystery Island... The people there were so nice as well. The first person I asked where I could rest at directed me to the neolodge. I went there right away, and got a room, which was really nice, it was called the Delux Room and had two floors, and very nice furniture, Fitness Center, Sauna, Video Games, Grooming, Swimming Pool, and many other things. I had never slept so soundly, I must have slept for ten hours! And when I woke up, someone brought up a Strawberry Crumpet for breakfast. It was so delicious. I hadn't eaten in days!
I then went out to explore Neopia. There were so many shops. Food Shops. Magic Shops. Book Shops. A Hospital. A Pharmacy. A Bank(which is in the oldest building in Neopia, I thought it was interesting). An Auction House. A Post Office. And they all had their own buildings. Neopia is definatly more advanced and much richer than Karthik. There was even what was called a Rainbow Pool, where you could go to get painted. I had fun sitting out there and watching pets go in one color, and then coming out completely different.
I was so hungry though that I had two lunches. The first lunch was a Flaming Hot Meat Taco, and that was so good! It was pretty spicey. And then for my second lunch(after I took a visit to the Wishing Well to wish that Hanuman would stop trying to find me), I had a Megapepper pizza at the Pizzaroo. I stayed in the Neolodge for about a week before I felt it was time to leave. I knew Hanuman was still after me, or at least, if he wasn't his guards were. But during that week of rest, I had so much fun exploring the entire city, and talking to the others who lived there.
I had a lot of fun at the auction house, seeing what kinds of things people were auctioning off, and how much people would bid on them. I also really enjoyed looking through the art centre. And I loved feeding the Katoaties. I ate at Huberts Hotdogs, and got a fresh strawberry shortcake from the bakery, and enjoyed several different kinds of chocolates at the Chocolate Shop, and I even ate at the McDonalds Resturant. I was a little reluctant to go, but at the same time I kind of missed the simple quiet life of a not so large and advanced city that is awake at all hours of the day and night.

After leaving Neopia, I traveled north. It got colder and colder, but I knew I couldn't turn back. I finally made it to mountains covered in snow. Still, I knew I couldn't turn back, the only way was to press forward, and to go over the mountains. I made it part way up, when a blizzard hit, and had to spend a few days in a cave before I could venture out again. It was so very cold, I was shivering the whole time. I finally made it up to the top of the mountain, and found that there were others living up there. Happy Valley is a scenic, small town, I found it quite odd that people would want to live in such cold weather, but soon found out that they had ways to keep warm. I was given a thick coat, and was allowed to share someone's igaloo with them. Despite the fact that igaloos are made out of nothing but ice, they to conserve heat very well.
I really missed Karthik, in this very cold and very different weather. But I still enjoyed learning about their culture. I really loved their Spicy Snow Rolls, and ate them quite often, for there was nothing else that was spicey there. But even though nothing else was spicy, I still enjoyed some of the other foods they had, like the Chia Pops, and the Ice Lollies, and the Slushies. I think my favorite slushie was probably the Munuberry Slushie.
I was told to visit the very top of the mountain, so I did. Its soaring, jagged and pointy peaks take up more than 1000 kilometres of the glaciated Winter World. In all its girth, the mountain itself is home to active tidewater glaciers, which are continually changing the shape of the mountain, making it extremely dangerous. I met the Snow Faerie, Taelia up there. I was surprised to see she also wore a bindi. When I was visiting with her, she was working on some spells, and people kept coming in to give her ingredients, as she rarely ventures out and has little time to run her own errands... She would always reward them with what she could. She forewarned me never to visit the meast that lives in the Ice Caves... the Snowager. She said he could be very tempermental. That a lot of people try to sneak in and steal his treasures, and come out very badly beaten... or sometimes don't come out at all. I never went into his lair, but I did get to see it.
I also got to meet the Negg Faerie, and she told me all about Neggs, as I didn't know anything about them. I've never seen one before. And I also learned how to ice skate. Soon enough though, it was time to go again. I had to leave all my friends behind on ce again.

I went over the mountains, and came back down in a jungle. At first, I was a little scared, thinking it was like the Haunted Woods. There were creatures I had never seen before, who were much larger than I. Some of them seemed like they wanted to eat me, others just munched away on trees. And there were many tar pits, some of which I saw had skeletons in them. It was always quite dark as well, as the sunlight rarely permeated the thick prehistoric jungle vegetation, but soon enough, I got to a villiage of straw huts held together by mud and dung. The village was called Tyrammet. And the elder, as she was called, was Kyruggi. Even though it was hard for me to understand them, and it was hard for them to understand me, they seemed to know I was no threat to them, and just needed a place to stay. So they quickly built me a straw hut to stay in, and eagerly wanted to show me how they did things.
I spent a lot of time helping them to make weapons and tools, and also learned how to cook some of their kinds of food. I must admit, most of their food didn't look very appealing at all. Most of it I tried to stay away from, but what I did find rather good was the Nerkin Leg. Other than that, I stuck to omelettes. Unlike many of the other places I had been, they seemed very behind the times, making tools out of rocks. Even their beds and pillows were made out of rocks, or straw, or dung. It wasn't very comfortable, to say the least. But I made due with it.
I found the cave paintings to be really quite interesting. They took such pride in preserving it, and making new paintings as well. Their paintings depicted their triumphs and conquests(several in particular depicted the Monoceraptor), as well as stories. The Tyrannian Plateau is safely nestled high in the mountains, separating the lush, thick Tyrannian Jungle from the scorching volcano off in the distance. The elevation hardly cools the sizzling summers down, and there isn't much of a breeze, making this area the second hottest in all of Neopia. There is even a cave called the "Lair of the Beast". Rumour has it that a strange, evil creature lives up in the Tyrannian mountains. I didn't dare go in there though...
While I was in Tyrannia, I thought I was going to become the lunch of a Tyrannian Krawk. I had never been more scared in my life upon meeting him. But luckily, he was more interested in where I had come from, than what I would taste like.
Anzuru eagerly helped me with my chores, just to hear about the outside world, and told me all about his life in Tyrannia. We became quick friends, but the time came when I had to leave again. Anzuru begged me not to leave, saying that he would eat whoever was after me, but I explained that I couldn't stay there, but that I would come back to visit him one day.

I walked all the way to the ocean, and then decided I had to fly. I flew for days on end without stopping. I grew very weary, and dehydrated, and famished. I thought I was going to die, as I couldn't find any land to rest on. Finally... I saw land! When I got there, my wings gave way, and I fell into a thicket of thorns. Luckily someone saw me, and came to my rescue, carrying me to the Island Mystic, where I stayed for several days, until I was nursed back to health.
Daeti, the Island Mystic's apprentice, stayed with me night and day, the whole time. When I came too, she eagerly helped me, and introduced me around the island. At first, I couldn't understand anything they were saying, their accents were extremely thick. But over time, I grew to understand them. I learned that I was on Mystery Island, or so it's called by 'outsiders'. Some of the natives weren't too welcoming to me, but a lot of them were. I stayed in a bamboo hut with Daeti during my time there, and helped her out with her chores, like collecting herbs and fruits for some of her medicines.
While I was out looking for some fruits, I met
Bragii. He was very friendly, and helped me with my list, as I couldn't quite remember what some of the fruits looked like. Bragii knew EVERYTHING about the fruits and vegetables, and roots that grew there, and collected them to sell. It was really enjoyable, spending my time with him. He loved to tell stories about Mystery Island, and loved to hear about where I was from. He told me about how, long ago, in order to get onto the island, visitors needed Totems, but now it's free to all. He took me to meet Jhuidah, a faerie of the Mystery Island who controls the cooking pot. "If you place suitable gifts to Pango Pango inside it he may bless you with a very rare spectacular item," Bragii told me about the cooking pot. I also got to meet the "Tombola Man", he was such a jolly fellow, and gave me a Native Mask and a Wooden Kougra Totem, I thought it was really nice of him, but knew I wouldn't be able to keep them, so I asked Daeti to hold onto them for me, until I'm able to come back and get them. Bragii also took me to see the Training School. I thought it was very interesting, and even took a some classes with the Techo Master.
Bragii also told me all about Techo Mountain. He said that nobody knows who carved this mountain, it has been on Mystery Island as long as anybody can remember. People assume the carver was a Techo, who made the mountain in his own likeness. He told me a story about how a few years ago there was an Evil Shaman who unleashed the power of the volcano. First, The Tiki Tombola Man was kidnapped. Mystery Island went into hysteria. I mean, the Tombola man was the nicest and most giving guy... Next the Techo Master vanished. The island went into even more panic. "A school without a master is nothing, and that is what we had become," Bragii explained. He said the school was in shambles, chairs knocked over, and strange holes burned into the sides of the school wall, the Techo Master put up quite a strong fight, but was obviously kidnapped as well. There were footprints leading to the north though, straight to Techo Mountain... but the Fire Faerie was sent to protect people from the Volcano, so no one could get close enough. Even though the volcano hasn't errupted in several hundred years, and never would again, there was smoke rising from it. "One of the legends of Mystery Island speaks of a gigantic beast, a mile high, that was trapped inside the volcano to stop it burning down the whole island. Mothers usually tell this story to their children at night to stop them from venturing too far into the jungle however!" Bragii told me.
Bragii said the next to vanish was the Island Mystic. I asked Daeti about this later, and she confirmed it. She said that she was out gathering Herbs during this time, and came back to find the Mystic missing. Daeti was really worried about him, but knew she had to pick up in his place, for the people. Anywas, Bragii told me the next to vanish was the Tiki Island Tour Guide. And then Jhuidah vanished. By this time, Bragii said everyone stayed locked in their huts, never venturing out unless they absolutly needed to. Slowly, someone helped to rescue everyone. They all explained about someone trying to let loose a beast that was within the Volcano, one that could destroy the whole island. And finally the evil shaman was destroyed. I thought it was a very interseting story... but Bragii still seemed to be even more interested in mine.
I really loved it at Mystery Island, and I had a hard time leaving my friends, but I had to leave none-the-less...

I flew southwest for about 80 miles, until I reached another island to rest at. Little did I know, it was Krawk Island, a desolate rock, until a few years ago when a gang of pirates on the run from the law landed and settled. Since then it has become very popular with all manner of undesirable citizens... I went to the Golden Dubloon for some food and refreshments. Nearly everyone there was rude and disgusting. They had such horrible manners. One of them even stole a few gold bracelettes from me without my knowing it! They all drank a lot, gambled a lot, and got into quite a few fights in the building! Some didn't have eyes, some had hooks for hands, and some had wooden legs! Needless to say, I didn't feel very comfortable there, but had to stay to rest for a while until I could fly again. But then I caught someone trying to steal something else from me. He introduced himself as
Swashai. It was ackward at first, for me anyways, but he seemed friendly enough. We talked, and he told me all about Krawk Island, and I told him about where I came from. He even protected me from some other pirate who tried to rip me off. Soon enough, we were joined by another... though, she didn't seem like a Pirate.
Rizaraa, she introduced herself as. She was definatly not like any other female I met. She seemed very dark, and mysterious, and was just a rough and tough as any of the pirates in the Golden Dubloon, though she was much better at stealing than the pirates... for she stole my golden bracelettes back for me without anyone noticing. She played cards really well, and made a lot of dubloons from it, while stealing. And she could easily drink just as much as the male pirates. I felt wrong for thinking it, but she intruiged me, and I somewhat admired her.
Rizaraa told me all about the Smuglers Cove, and took me down there, as she had some things to sell. She explained she was a professional thief, and visited Krawk Island often, for they usually paid the most, and didn't care wether they were "ill-gotten goods". Despite the fact that she could be blunt, and disgusting at times, and despite the fact that she was a thief, she was a really nice person. I enjoyed looking around, but didn't spend any of my gold on it. I also visited the Training Academy. It was kind of like the Training School on Mystery Island, but had different tecnuiqes in their fighting skills. Never-the-less, I thought it might be useful, just incase a pirate got too rowdy with me. Cap'n Threelegs, who taught me, was quite an interesting and nice fellow. He told me his story... after decades on the high seas, Cap'n Threelegs had finally given up his plundering ways to become head of the Swashbuckling Academy. In exchange for accepting a job with the academy, Threelegs was granted a full Act of Pardon, which cleared him of any prosecution stemming from his days pillaging abroad. The life of a Pirate seemed so horrible to me, but after learning from Cap'n Threelegs, it now intruiges me.
I was told a very interesting story about a buried treasure by Swashai while in the Golden Dubloon one day. It is said that many years ago, the captain of the notorious pirate ship The Black Pawkeet, "ol' Cap'n Bloodhook" was tossed overboard in a storm. Everybody thought he had died, but his crewmates were a bit wary of "ol' Bloodhook", knowing that he could survive anything nature threw at him. His crewmates formulated a plan... they would take all the treasure from the ship and bury it somewhere in Krawk Island. If he ever came back they would say they were raided and the treasure was stolen... It just so happened that Bloodhook had survived, and he had found out what his "mutinous crew" had done. When he climbed back on board he gave a thunderous roar and leapt to the attack... not a single person other than Bloodhook survived that bloody battle. The secret of where his treasure was buried was lost forever...
By the time I had to leave, I could easily understand everything they were saying(where as I couldn't quite understand them when I first got there).
Ye and ya means you.
Yer means your or you depending on the context.
Sometimes they say me rather than my.
They say o' when they mean Of.
Sometimes they say be rather than is, for example,"This be...
Scoffing is their way of saying eating.
Ahoy is their way of saying hello.
Ahoy me hearties" would be a way of saying,"Hello my friends.
Matey is also another word for friend.
Scurvy seadog would be a bit of an insult. As well as lilly livered coward.
Avast! means to stop and give attention. It can be used in a sense of surprise, "Whoa! Get a load of that!".
Aye mean yes.
Aye Aye means "I'll get right on that, sir... as soon as my break is over
Arrr!" can mean, variously, "yes," "I agree," "I'm happy," "I'm enjoying this beer," "My team is going to win it all," and "That was a clever remark you or I just made." And those are just a few of the myriad possibilities of Arrr!
A Landlubber is the seaman's version of land lover, mangled by typical pirate disregard for elocution. A lubber is someone who does not go to sea, who stays on the land.

While at Krawk Island, I heard some of the pirates talking about a land in the clouds, where Faeries live. I decided to see if it was true, and sure enough, I found a large city called Faerieland. Home to the Faeries of Neopia, this celestial city is situated within the clouds above Neopia Central. Ruled by the kindhearted Faerie Queen, Fyora, and protected by the army of the Battle Faerie, this metropolis in the sky is a luxurious haven to its inhabitants. Faerieland consists mainly of Faeries... about 80% of all that live there are in fact Faeries. 15% are Faerie pets, and the rest are others. I had never seen so many faeries in my life! There were Light Faeries, Dark Faeries, Earth Faeries, Water Faeries, Fire Faeries(I remembered them from the stories Bragii told me on Mystery Island), Air Faeries, Battle Faeries, Tooth Faeries, and more!
I made a great many other friends there.
K9 told me all about Jhudorah and her quests. We took a peek in the window, but moved along quickly. K9 said she's not the type of person you want to spend a lot of time with. K9 also introduced me to the Water Faerie who runs the Healing Springs. She's a rather nice Faerie, and healed a few of my cuts and scratches. I could barely even tell I had a cut to begin with! She also introduced me to quite a few other Faeries, including
Bree, the Air Faerie. Bree was really nice, and asked if I had anywhere to stay. She let me stay at her neohome on Air Faerie Avenue, which is a really big, really nice home. Over the weeks that I stayed there, I became really close to Bree and her little family, and finally, Bree said I could stay with her for as long as I want, and if I had to leave, I would always have a room there. She made me a part of her family... and all of my new siblings(well, most of my new siblings) accepted me with open arms and hearts. While I was up there in the clouds, and with my new family, I barely even thought about Hanuman's guards.
I met this really pretty Faerie Lenny named
Convocation. He was really nice, and outgoing and funny, and was so excited to have someone new in Faerieland. He was determined to show me a good time, and took me to the Wheel of Excitement first. There were so many others there cheering as the wheel spun round and round. Finally, we got up to the wheel, and Convocation went first. I was pretty excited to see what he would win, and so was he. And the wheel slowed, and stopped, and the Light Faerie handed him a Faerie Lenny Plushie. Convocation was so excited and happy he couldn't stop squeezing it and hugging it and looking at it! I was really happy for him. And then the Light Faerie turned to me, so I handed her some NP, and the wheel spun. Convocation was probably more excited for me than I was. But soon enough the wheel stopped and the Light Faerie placed her hands over my forehead, said a few words, and her hands glowed. Then she said,"I've blessed you with more strength to carry on with your travels". As we were leaving, someone was zapped with lightning. It was a little scarey, but I suppose it coule give someone a rush of adrenaline when they spin the wheel, making it rather exciting. Either way, I don't think I will spin it again. I don't want to get hit with lightning. Next we went to the Poogle Races. We each voted for different poogles, but neither of them won. But it was rather fun watching all the poogles racing against eachother. And then there was the Faerie Cloud Racers. There were no bets on them, but it was still really fun to watch the Faeries race.
Later that day, I met a Faerie Wocky named
Miraquix. She was very nice, and offered to show me the ins and outs of all the stores in Faerieland, as she said shopping was one of her favorite pasttimes. Our first stop was to the Faerie Petpet Store, which was run by an Earth Faerie. The petpets were all so very cute! And the odd thing, they weren't in cages like so many of the other petpet stores I had been into all over the world. They were all flitting about, and loved attention! There were unique petpets that I had never seen before, as well as some petpets from other areas of the world that were Faerie as well. I fell in love with this Faerie Vacana who seemed to love being with me as well. Miraquix convinced me to buy her, so I did, and then we went to the Faerie Food Store, also run by an Earth Faerie. All of the foods looked so delicious! Miraquix and I ate so much that we were nearly too full to fly, and then bought even more to take back to my neohome to eat later. Our next stop was the Faerie Bookshop. Miraquix kept piling books into my arms, telling me they were really great, and that I needed to read them. I spent a lot of NP in that store, and had to have the books shipped to my neohome so we could continue to browse through the shops. Our next stop was the Faerie Furniture Shop, run by an Air Faerie just like Bree(but not as pretty as Bree -grin-). Miraquix kept trying to get me to buy everything in the store, and I bought a few things, but not much. There's one thing I learned about Miraquix, that she loves to spend NP, even if it's not for herself. Next we went to the Faerie Weapon Shop. I didn't really want to go in there, what use do I have for weapons, but Miraquix convinced me to just take a look around. Sure enough though, she convinced me to get a Battle Faerie Dagger. But I can't really blame it on her... I was the one who actually bought it. I figured that eventually, I might need it, especially since I was on the run. Some protection is better than none. The Battle Faerie who ran the store even took out some of the weapons and told us about them, and even showed us how to use them. I was highly impressed, and Miraquix was too, as she wanted to buy everything the Battle Faerie showed us! Miraquix even took me to some hidden stores that not many people knew about, like a Faerie Grooming Store, and she even took me to what was called the Hidden Tower, which was a tower that Queen Fyora herself owned and sold many rare things in. Both Miraquix and I were in complete awe at the Bracelette of the Kings, but it was too much. Anyways, after our very full day of shopping we both went back to Bree's house, and had a sleep-over... eating some of the Faerie Foods we had bought, and reading some of the Faerie Books, and talking, and even grooming eachother. I told her all about Mehndi, and applied some to her, and she showed me how to use the lipsticks and eyeshadows she had gotten from Neopia Central. It was great fun.
I met a Faerie Shoyru named
Shiyriu in front of the Employment Agency, and asked him what it was. He was more than happy to tell me all about it, and bring me in there so I could see what it was about. He told me that for some of the jobs, you need to have a job coupon. But we went in to one of the rooms that you didn't need a job coupon, and got a job. I had to get three Garlic Bread Halves, and was paid 3,000 NP. Shiyriu told me that many pets came to the Employment Agency to make NP, and sometimes it was really hard to get a job. He said that usually he didn't go to the Employment Agency, that he made his NP in other ways. But I thought it was pretty interesting seeing what kinds of jobs the Employment Agency had, and how much they would pay for you to complete a job.
I also met a Faerie Pteri named
Farola, who was on a quest, and was looking for Denim Coveralls for the Fire Faerie. I knew I had seen some Denim Coveralls in one of the shops down in Neopia Central, so we went down there, and looked around for some, and then brought them back to the Fire Faerie. The Fire Faerie was so grateful for her item, that she increased Farola's strength. And then as we were leaving, an Air Faerie grabbed my arm and asked if I would get her some Pink Blush. Since I had helped Farola find the Denim Coveralls, he decided to help me find the Pink Blush. When we were looking for some, he told me that Faerie Quests weren't very common, but it was always nice to help the Faeries out, because if you do they would increase your stats. He told me that the Fire Faerie was always burning her clothes, so she always needed more clothes, and that she usually increased your Strength. The Air Faeries were usually looking for grooming products, and they would increase your speed. The Water Faeries were always looking for more books to increase their knowledge, and in return they'd increase your defence. The Light Faeries would usually ask for Trading Cards and would increase your level. The Dark Faeries wanted toys and would increase your hit-points, and the Earth Faeries wanted some sort of a Magical item, and would feed your in return. He said, on occassion you'd get a quest from the Queen Faerie, or the Space Faerie, or even the Fountain Faerie, but those were very rare quests and rather expensive. But he said they were worth it. Anyways, we found the Pink Blush, and sure enough, the Air Faerie increased my speed.
After making all of these wonderful friends, and after meeting Bree and becoming a part of her family, I was really sad to go. But I had spent about a month there, and knew I shouldn't push my luck. It was so hard to leave them all, and there were so many tears. But I promised I would return again one day. That's a promise I intended to keep.

After leaving Faerieland, I flew down to Meridell. I found it to be quite interesting, and very different from many of the other places I had been. King Skarl, monarch of the whole of Meridell, wisely rules the land, with the help of his top knights and peasant militia. He lives in a rather large castle in Meridel. The castles there are really quite different from the ones in Karthik, but are still very unique and beautiful to me. King Skarl isn't a really happy King. Although he's a wise ruler, not many of the residents seem to like him much... though they are deeply devoted to their land and their king.
I visited Meriacres Farms, and got to pick some berries to eat. They were pretty tasty. Just outside of Meri Acres farm is a big pile of rubbish - it's where people go to get rid of stuff that has started to smell SO bad they don't want to be near it any more. By the time I was leaving Meriacres, it was getting rather dark. I had no where to stay, and figured I'd be sleeping next to a tree or something. I was used to it by now, though I had gotten extremely lucky nearly everywhere I went I eventually found someone who wanted to give me shelter. Before I knew it, I bumped into someone. I quickly apologized before looking up at him, and then realized it was royalty of the lands. Quickly I bowed, remembering that in Karthik you were required to bow to royalty, and I assumed it was the same out here in Meridell. He introduced himself as
Prince Okajobe, Prince of Darkness. He told me about how he used to live in Brightvale, but moved out here to Meridell, and explained all about their customs, and their kings, and the other royalty there. It was really quite interesting. And then he began to ask about where I was from. This was a common question... one I had to answer so many times. By this time I was rather tired, and didn't want to go into the whole story, so I asked if there was anywhere I might find shelter for the night, and said that perhaps at another time I would tell him about it. Just as I asked if he knew of anywhere I could find rest, another royal was passing by. She said I could stay at her palace, as she had many rooms. Her name was
Pastellee. Her palace was absolutly gorgeous, and I found a very restful night's sleep.
The next few days, Pastelle showed me around, and introduced me to many others. Oddly enough, I only seemed to see Okajobe as it was becoming dusk. Quite mysterious. Nevertheless, the few weeks that I was there, I became pretty good friends with them. They seemed to think that I was royalty from a different land, because of all of the jewlery I wear, and the way I carried myself, but I had to explain that I was merely a Lord's daughter, which I guess to them made me royalty.
Fifty miles east of Meridell there stands another castle, in a kingdom ruled by King Hagan. The kingdom is known as Brightvale, a bastion of peace, knowledge and really lovely ornate windows. They seem to be a much richer, and a little more advanced than Meridell, and there seems to be more people living there. The glazer makes the most wonderful windows, I had to buy a few for my rooms in Bree's neohome, as well as a few more for Bree, and some of my siblings.
When it came time to leave, I made my way through a forest that was intirely of Willows. Little did I know, that this was a magical forest that could cloak itself from anyone it wanted to, and could choose who it would let in. It was called Willow Forest. I met a Kougra there named Smoke... but I'll tell you more about him later ;) In the Willow Forest, there is a cave, called the Cave of Secrets. It's guarded and protected by
Koshka. I was able to see my Secret Gem, and learned some things about myself... things I already knew, and things I didn't know. I only stayed there for a short while, and quickly left upon realizing that Smoke had feelings for me. I was lost, and felt scared... I had to find myself... so I decided to go back to Karthik.
